The Grass Valley™ Professional Line of products is the next generation of solutions for audio/video professionals, helping you create and deliver broadcast-quality presentations while streamlining your investments in personnel and technology. A key component of this line is the Grass Valley Indigo A/V mixer, a new class of high-quality, multi-format audio/video mixer. Combining features normally found in video production switchers, AV presentation mixers, and audio mixers, it is a powerful, cost-effective, and easy-to-operate platform for live-presentation environments.
All - In - One AV Mixer The Indigo platform offers a complete feature set for controlling multiple analogue or digital video and audio sources. With a high-resolution card installed, it simultaneously processes 15 sources: 12 SD, one scaled up from SD to HD, and two selected from HD video or computer inputs. It also up converts to HD and down converts to SD even simulcasts live SD and HD output. The Indigo platform also manages the mixing and timing of audio sources, ranging from unbalanced analogue to AES/EBU signals. And it seamlessly combines live, high-resolution computer-based media and presentation content with real-time video and audio materials.
Fits Any Skill Level The Indigo AV mixer is simple enough for anyone to use. While providing full production switcher capabilities, its menu-driven touch screen interface can access powerful presets to get a new operator up and running in minutes. A senior operator can also customise these presets and save them for recall when needed.
Video Processing and Effects The Indigo platform features numerous 2D and 3D transition effects that you can modify and save, along with all other layout data, into its E-MEM preset storage banks. Indigo keyers include linear, luminance and chroma keys.
Advanced Audio Mixing Supporting eight stereo audio input channels from a selection of digital and balanced or unbalanced analogue sources, each Indigo audio channel has a four-band parametric equaliser and motor-driven fader. The mixer also provides phantom power for four microphones. And it can operate in audio-follow video mode, automatically fading audio up or down when its associated video source is taken to program. The mixer also features delay tracking, delaying audio automatically to coincide with any delay of video through the switcher, as well as user-defined output delay. These features ensure lip sync in live productions.
High In Value and Very Affordable The Indigo mixer offers a number of economic benefits. Its competitive price, expansive functionality, and feature set ensure that you will no longer need separate and often more expensive production switchers and audio-mixing devices to get the job done.
Expansion The Indigo HR AV mixer can connect hp to 8 HD-SDI inputs. The input expansion is a combination of Indigo's powerful external device controls with a customised version of the Acappella router from Thomson Grass Valley. With this expansion you

A single PCI Express form factor board and packaged with a full version of the latest EDIUS editing software, HDSTORM allows you to work with HDMI inputs and outputs and has a Canopus HQ hardware codec built-in for optimised, CPU-free capture and export of files.
HDSTORM empowers you with constantly synched, full-resolution preview of effects and content directly from the EDIUS timeline. The power of having the Canopus HQ codec on-board means you won’t be restricted by CPU speeds or workstation limitations when ingesting or creating high-quality Canopus HQ AVI files for editing. Keeping the compression processing separate from your CPU brings new reliability and system performance to the editing and effects creation environment.
Working as a perfect combination of software and hardware, HDSTORM can handle any mix of HD and SD video content; unlimited video, audio, title, and graphics layers; and any combination of real-time effects.
If you are still making the transition to an all-digital, high-definition workflow, you can purchase the optional HDSTORM Bay (see opposite) at any time, to add a comprehensive set of analog inputs and outputs. The HDSTORM Bay is included as standard with the full HDSTORM Plus package.
Onboard Canopus HQ Codec Chip–Capture and Encode with the Best Already a prominent part of the EDIUS software legacy, the Canopus HQ codec offers supreme visual quality without the excessive hard disk storage costs normally associated with HD video ingest. With HDSTORM, you can be assured that the HD video content you output from your HD sources will be perfectly preserved, ready for you to either edit, author to DVD or Blu-ray, or store for later usage. Because the input quality is so clean, subsequent conversions to other distribution formats such as mobile phones or the Web are cleaner too.
Minimum System Requirements HDSTORM is capable of editing both SD and HD content in real time, however the system requirements for real-time HD editing are significantly higher than for SD editing. The requirements shown here are for real-time HD editing.
Key Features:- - HDMI input/output for connectivity with HDMI devices and real-time monitoring from the included EDIUS editing software
- Works with many different native video formats, including DV, HDV, AVCHD, uncompressed, and more
- Real-time SD/HD resolution, aspect ratio and frame rate conversion and output, including 16:9 to 4:3 and NTSC to PAL
- Real-time SD/HD effects, keyers, transitions and titles
- Supports newer file-based formats, including Infinity JPEG 2000, XDCAM and XDCAM EX, P2 (DVCPRO and AVC-Intra), and GFCAM
- Onboard Canopus HQ hardware encoder for fast, high-quality capture and export of video to Canopus HQ AVI files
- Bay option for HD/SD analog component, S-Video, and composite input/output (included as standard with HDSTORM Plus)
- Compatible with Windows® XP and Windows Vista
HDSTORM Plus An optional (5.25-inch) bay is also available (included as standard with HDSTORM Plus). The bay not only features additional connectors for HDMI devices, but also input and output connectors for analog HD/SD component, S-Video, composite, and unbalanced audio; this helps those still working in analog to make the transition to digital and HD production.

Onboard Canopus HQ Codec Chip – Capture and Encode with the Best Already a prominent part of the EDIUS software legacy, the Canopus HQ codec offers supreme visual quality without the excessive hard disk storage costs normally associated with HD video ingest.

Featuring a basic, entry-level range of tools and features, EDIUS® Neo 3 software is ideal for those new to video editing. Yet, it also provides powerful nonlinear editing features common to all EDIUS solutions, such as real-time, multi-track, mixed-format HD/SD editing, chromakeying, titling and both Blu-ray Disc and DVD authoring.
Built on the same highly-acclaimed technology as EDIUS, EDIUS Neo 3 software offers native editing of various formats including AVCHD, HDV, DV, Windows Media, and QuickTime - and now also supports CANON EOS DSLR video - and provides a seamless, real-time workflow that supports mixing all formats on the same timeline. And you can upgrade to the full-featured version of EDIUS at any time.
EDIUS Neo 3 also features a new Source Browser function to automatically search for video contents inside removable media. Efficient editing is possible while preserving the original image quality, with no loss of resolution or frame rate. Enables real-time playback of three or more streams without special hardware. (Verified in internal tests on computers with Intel Core i7 processors.)
EDIUS Neo 3 runs on a laptop as well as a workstation system and can input/output video from any OHCI FireWire (IEEE 1394)-compatible hardware. If you need HDMI and audio monitoring or Blu-ray Disc acceleration support, take a look at the HDSPARK™ and FIRECODER® Blu as options for EDIUS Neo 3.
